A day with Charlie Waite
Avenue of Beech Trees, Kingston Lacy, Dorset
I was lucky enough to spend yesterday with Charlie Waite, widely regarded as one of Britain’s finest landscape photographers. Together with a great group of people we spent a few hours at Kingston Lacy in Dorset photographing the majestic trees which comprise Kingston Lacy’s Beech Avenue. Photographing just a few of more than 700 trees, planted 135 years ago was a joy. It made me envy those people, who have this landmark on their doorstep, and are able to view and even photograph these trees through changing seasons.
Quite simply, the best photography of London I have ever seen
