I have been lucky enough to visit Hong Kong many times. I have worked there on numerous occasions and more recently visited en route to other Asian destinations. Hong Kong is a photographers paradise offering a diverse array of subjects. I am featuring a few in this short post.
For those who don’t know the city most of its land mass is in the North on the Kowloon side. Across Victoria Harbour in the south is Hong Kong Island. Here you will find the Central Business District as well as many other attractions. The journey between the two, on the Star Ferry at night is one of the world’s great journey. And it costs next to nothing!
Hong Kong is one of the cities featured in our World Cities Collection. It is without doubt one of the great cities of the world and one of the major global business hubs.
The first of my featured photos of Hong Kong is a classic vista. Hong Kong Island photographed from the waterfront at night is beautiful. It is one of the world’s most recognisable cityscapes.
Hong Kong is a city of contrasts. Nowhere is this more obvious than in its architecture. The city features some of the most modern architecture in the world. But it also has many old buildings. This shot of an old high rise in Kowloon is typical of the older part of that region.
The third of my featured photos of Hong Kong shows is from the streets of Kowloon. The huge array of signs very much capture the atmosphere of the city.
We have just added a series of new photographs to our Hong Kong gallery. This is just a sample of many images captured over the years. If you would like to see more, please get in touch.Prints of Hong Kong are available to buy online
